Leave Cairo by train or superjet bus (regular daily departures) You will be met by our representative on arrival. Transfer to your hotel. Take a tour of the city of Alexandria, founded in 332 BC by Alexander the Great, on his way to Siwa.Visit the Graeco-Roman Museum, catacombs of Kom el-Shugafa dating from the early 2nd century AD, the rock-cut tombs of Anfoushy Necropolis, and Pompey's Pillar built to honour the Roman emperor Diocletian in 297 AD.

Relax and enjoy this Oasis paradise. Wander through the town, walk amongst the olive groves and date palms, bathe in the hotel's pool and springs.
Morning at leisure.This afternoon you will join a caravan of Cherokee 4x4s on a desert safari adventure.You will be accompanied by the most experienced drivers on the most thrilling ride as you race across the dunes.
Stop to collect fossils and sea-shells along the seabed of the Great Sand Sea, take a dip in a lake right in the middle of the desert, sip Siwan tea by a campfire at sunset.
After breakfast depart on a tour of Siwa. Visit the Oracle Temple of Amun, where Alexander the Great communed with the deity and was named King. Nearby is the Temple of Umm Ubeida dating from the 30th dynasty. Climb Jebel al-Mawta or Mountain of the Dead and visit Cleopatra's pool and stop for a swim on Fatnis Island.
Early breakfast and transfer to the bus station.
Depart Siwa (7 am or 10 am) Arrive Alexandria (3 pm or 6 pm)
Depart for Cairo and arrive approx. 3 hours later (depending on train/bus schedules)
