DAY 1: CAIRO - ALEXANDRIA
Drive by private a/c micro-bus (225 kms) or take the train through the
egyptian countryside. On arrival you will be escorted to your HOTEL.
Rest of day free to explore on your own. Stroll along the Corniche, wander
easily through the streets of downtown, and stop at the one of the many
cafes for a taste of local life. In the evening a seafood dinner is a must.
Our staff are there to assist you, but the best way to experience this ciy
is on your own.
DAY 2 : ALEXANDRIA (ancient & modern)
A full day for sightseeing with visits to the Graeco-Roman Museum which
contains about 40,000 valuable relics dating back to the 3rd century BC,
the Roman Amphitheatre, Pompey's Pillar & Serapeaum, Catacombs of
Kom es-Shugafa, Fort Qaitbey which once stood the lighthouse of Pharos
(inaugurated in 283 BC), one of the wonders of the ancient world.
End the day at Alexandria's most modern wonder, the Library
"BIBLIOTHECA ALEXANDRINA".
DAY 3 : ALEXANDRIA - CAIRO
You may spend the day exploring the "Underwater Wonders" at DIVE sites
in and around the harbour before returning to Cairo. |
